2. Information We Collect
To provide a highly personalized and secure educational environment, we collect the following categories of information:
A. Personal Identity & Contact Data
- Account Information: Full name, Email address, Mobile number (verified via OTP), Date of Birth, City, and Academic Qualification.
- Delivery Information: Physical shipping address and postal code (only collected when you order physical books or hard-copy certificates).
B. Educational & Usage Data
- Academic Progress: Course enrollment history, video watch duration, completed modules, and mock test scores.
- AI Career Prediction Inputs: Data regarding your study habits, career goals, and behavioral traits, which you manually input into our AI Prediction tool to generate your career blueprint.
3. Device Permissions & Sensitive Data (Camera & Microphone)
Our application requires access to certain sensitive device hardware exclusively for maintaining the integrity of online examinations. We request these permissions only when you attempt a 'Proctored Exam'.
- Camera (Photos & Videos): When taking a Proctored Exam, the app accesses your front camera to capture a live authentication photo (Selfie) before the exam starts. During the exam, it records short video clips (e.g., a 5-second initial video and random 2-minute clips) to monitor for unauthorized behavior or cheating. This video data is securely uploaded directly to our servers/Google Drive and is accessible strictly by KAMALDNP Administrators for evaluation purposes only.
- Microphone (Audio): Along with the proctoring video, the app records audio to ensure no external verbal assistance is being provided to the student during the exam.
- App Visibility & Background Monitoring: The app detects if it is minimized or pushed to the background during an active exam to prevent cheating (e.g., searching for answers on Google). Doing so triggers an automatic exam submission.
* Note: The Camera and Microphone are turned off instantly the moment the exam is submitted or the timer expires. We DO NOT monitor you outside of the active examination screen.
4. How We Use Your Data
KAMALDNP strictly adheres to the principle of purpose limitation. We use your data for the following legitimate purposes:
- To create and manage your student account and grant access to purchased Video Courses and Live Classes.
- To securely process payments via third-party gateways (Cashfree/Razorpay) and update your Wallet Balance.
- To analyze exam footage (Camera/Mic) to prevent fraud, issue verified certificates, and disqualify candidates found cheating.
- To send OTPs, transaction receipts, and class schedule updates via SMS or WhatsApp (using Fast2SMS/Firebase/Twilio).
- To generate and issue ISO-verified digital Certificates of Completion with unique QR codes.
5. Data Sharing and Third-Party Disclosures
KAMALDNP DOES NOT sell, rent, or trade your personal information to marketing agencies or data brokers. We share data only with essential trusted service providers under strict confidentiality:
- Payment Gateways: For processing course fees and store purchases securely. We do not store your credit card or UPI PIN on our servers.
- Logistics Partners: Your delivery address and phone number are shared with courier services solely to deliver physical books or materials.
- Cloud Storage: Proctoring videos and user data are stored on highly secure encrypted cloud servers (including Google Drive via API).
6. Data Security & Retention
Securing your data is a massive priority. Our app and website utilize Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology, ensuring all data transmitted is encrypted. Passwords are cryptographically hashed.
Retention: Your profile data and course progress are retained as long as your account is active so you can access lifetime courses. Exam proctoring videos are retained temporarily until the exam results are finalized and verified by the administration, after which they may be purged to free up server storage.
7. Your Rights and Controls
- Right to Access & Edit: You can update your Name, City, and Qualification anytime via the 'Profile' section of the app. (Note: Registered Mobile Number and Email cannot be changed to prevent account fraud).
- Right to Deletion: You may request the permanent deletion of your account. Please note that doing so will instantly revoke your access to all paid courses, wallet balances, and digital certificates without a refund.
